GAIN TRAINS WOMEN FARMERS IN KADUNA STATE

To improve nutritious food in Kaduna state, the Global Alliance in collaboration with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development organized a two-day training for women farmers on Planning, Budget, and Record Keeping.

The coordinator Mr Onigu Africa Onigu disclosed this to Journalists in Kaduna.

He explained that after the training, the women farmers will know how to plan before engaging in the farming business.

Onigu Africa said the training on strengthening Nutrition in the priority staples foods project, will strengthen cassava, maize, Rice, and orange value chains which will provide Nutrition food for consumers.


The training covers women from four local government areas across the state which includes Giwa, Chikun, Soba, and Ikara local governments.


In an interview with some of the participants, they thanked Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition for giving them the opportunity and training them on how to boast farming business. They also appealed to the Kaduna state government to assist them with funds, Agricultural inputs, and pesticides for more nutritious foods.
