The Executive Governor of Kano state His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointment of Abdullahi Baffa Bichi as the new Secretary to the State Government.
A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, also, announced the appointments of Hon. Shehu Wada Sagagi, as the Chief of Staff and Dr. Farouq Kurawa as Principal Private Secretary.
The statement further states;
“These appointments take effect from today, Monday 29th May, 2023. The appointees were selected based on their track records, commitment and loyalty”.
Similarly, the Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf approved the Chairman, Executive Secretary and members of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
According to a released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the board will be headed by Alhaji Yusuf Lawan.
Sanusi added that other members of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board alongside the chairman of the board include;

Executive Secretary - Shiekh Abbas Abubakar Daneji – Member
- Shiekh Shehi Shehi Maihula- Member
- Amb. Munir Lawan- Member
- Shiekh Isma’il Mangu, Member

- Dr. Sani Ashir- Member
“The appointees are expected to takeover the affairs of the board immediately to ensure successful 2023 Hajj operation”.
