NPFL/NNL SEASON: Plateau State Ministry Of Youth And Sport Development Assures Plateau United, Mighty Jets Support

 ...Commissioner Of Sports, Datti Inspects Rehabilitation Work At Zaria Road Stadium 


Ahead of the 2023 Football Season in Nigeria, more support for the 2017 NPFL Champions Plateau United FC and 1973 League Champions Mighty Jets has been assured.


The Honourable Commissioner, Bashir Lawandi Datti gave the assurance during an inspection tour of facilities at the Zaria Road Stadium.


The newly appointed Commissioner said that the Executive Governor of Plateau State Barr. Caleb Muftwang is ready to give maximum support to all Sports related activities in the State, and that the first project is to see the state's darling team Plateau United kicks start their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League with good results, describing the target given to the coaches by the General Manager of the Club Mr Habila Hosea Mutla is achievable in the upcoming Season.  


He appealed  for more support and cooperation from all football fans as well as stakeholders in the state, so that to the team can effectively deliver good results from its matches for the delight of the fans.


The Newly appointed acting General Manager of Plateau United, Mr. Habila Hosea Mutla was on ground to take the Hon Commissioner round to inspect the ongoing rehabilitation of the dressing rooms, toilets, media gallery stand, VIP stand, and the fans/supporters stand at the stadium.





Bashir Lawandi appreciated the efforts made by the workers and the State Government and was particularly emphatic on the Development on the ground.


Honourable Bashir Lawandi Datti appealed for more support from corporate organizations in the Plateau to activate strategic partnerships with the state Ministry of Sports and Youth Development for effective development in Skill acquisitions and other youth engagement activities in the state.
