A special prayer for a prosperous Kaduna State and for Allah to bestow his blessings and guidance to the state Governor Uba Sani to succeed in administering the state was offered.
The prayer session was the lead agender as part of activities, marking the celebration of Maulud Nabby organized by the Commissioner of Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu held on Friday, 17th November 2023, Marraban Jos, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
Thousands of Muslims from within and outside the country witnessed the special prayer said, by one of the descendants and great-grandson of the Holy prophet of Islam, Muhammad bin Abdullah, May Allah be pleased with Him,(Aameen).
The grandson Sayyadi Shareef Muazu bin Ahmadu Tijjani during the prayer blessed Marraban Jos in the Kwarau award for the celebrations and show of love the the last prophet of Allah Muhammad, May Allah Blessed Him, (Aameen).
Several Islamic scholars like Sheikh Abdul Ahad Inyass, Sheikh Salahuddin Inyass, and Sheikh Mushri Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi explained that Maulud Nabby holds great religious significance among the Muslim community people.
"This day marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad and is celebrated by all Muslims across the globe with great enthusiasm and joy. This day", they said.
"This day is considered to be one of the most auspicious days for them as this day reminds the kindness, compassion, and teachings of the Holy Prophet".
The Sheikhs however, stated categorically that the Mawlud an-Nabby was a social occasion for the Muslims who are so inclined to celebrate it and a memorial day when the Sirah (the life story of the Prophet) is revisited and members of the Ummah are reminded about the teachings of the Prophet (s) and the successes and challenges of the young Muslim community in Mecca and Medina.
They congratulated those who grace the ceremony and prayed for the convener, Hajiya (Dr) Rabi Salisu for her commitment towards honouring and celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him).
