Tinubu Wins Sports Legendary Award …As Kebbi Gov Remains a Shining Light of Badminton In Nigeria – Frontline News

A global Sports institution, Sports Legendary Awards with flair in celebrating excellence and reward of distinguished Sporting Heroes, pacesetters, corporate organizations as well as stakeholders in various sporting endeavors within Nigeria and Africa is honoring another set of distinguished Nigerians as the year climax.

The roll call starts from the first family, Seyi Tinubu who was a Polo player and a Patron of the ST Polo team was nominated for the prestigious award of the most outstanding Sports Personality in Nigeria, the young man remained a role model to young Nigerians, hence the winner. Alongside, the son of the President was the Kebbi State Governor, His Excellency, Nasiru Idris, a badminton player and tournament sponsor, this award is to further spur him to do more to empower youth in Kebbi State and Nigeria, his excellency, will decorated with the award of “MOST OUTSTANDING BADMINTON ENTHUSIASTIC GOVERNOR & VALUABLE ICON OF HOPE IN SPORTS SPONSORSHIP IN NIGERIA FOR THE YEAR 2023″. His nomination has already aligned with his recent commitment to the game of badminton where the Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, who promised to do everything possible to make the game more famous, also said: “I want a situation where the game of badminton will attract more audience than football in Nigeria. This is my dream and I pray this will become true soon”.

The 2023 royalty award nomination was His Highness the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as the “Most Friendly Traditional Father to the Youth”. Other nominees include Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, Super Falcons captain to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Onome Ebi, Nigeria Volleyball Federal President, Musa Nimrod, Sam Ogbuche, Mahmud Hadejia, Prince Ogunjinmi Abayomi, Chikelue Iloenyonsi.

The award ceremony will be held on 13th December 2023 at the Merit House, Maitama Abuja.
