NUJ Zone A Lauds President Tinubu's Ramadan Welfare Initiative for Journalists

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zone A extends its profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his benevolent contribution of 700 bags of 5KG rice for Ramadan's welfare to journalists in the Northwest region.

The NUJ Zone A, encompassing Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara States, received this gesture of goodwill with immense appreciation. 

Facilitated by the office of the National Security Adviser through the Special Assistant to the President on Print Media, the welfare initiative underscores President Tinubu's unwavering commitment to the welfare of journalists in the region.

Each state council within NUJ Zone A received an equitable allocation of 100 bags of rice, ensuring fair distribution among members. The NUJ Zonal office diligently coordinated the transportation and distribution process to ensure prompt delivery to journalists across the region.

"We extend our heartfelt thanks to President Tinubu for this generous gesture," expressed Malam Tukur Muhammad Umar, Vice President of NUJ Zone A. "This contribution highlights his acknowledgment of the indispensable role journalists play in society and his dedication to their well-being."

Emphasizing the significance of this welfare initiative, the NUJ Zone A underscored that this marks the first occasion journalists in the region have directly received support from the presidency. 

The Zonal office urged President Tinubu to continue prioritizing journalists in welfare packages, enabling them to experience the dividends of democracy under the current administration.

NUJ Zone A reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to serving its members and expressed profound gratitude for the continued support of President Tinubu and the Nigerian government.
