The Kaduna State Security Council has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on Kaduna and Zaria towns and environs on August 4, 2024. After reviewing the security situation, the council has decided to limit the curfew to 6pm to 8am daily, allowing citizens to move freely between 8am and 6pm.
The relaxed curfew takes effect from Thursday, August 8, 2024. The security forces will continue to enforce the curfew and take decisive action against any attempts to disrupt law and order during the periods of movement and restriction.
The Kaduna State Security Council reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state, stating that it will take all necessary steps to preserve them.
Citizens are now allowed to carry out their legitimate activities between 8am and 6pm, with the curfew remaining in place from 6pm to 8am.
