In a bid to enhance grassroots political participation and strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kudan LGA, Kaduna State, party stakeholders, led by Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, inaugurated 10 new APC ward offices across the area.
The well-attended event, filled with enthusiasm from party members, underscored efforts to reinforce APC’s presence at the local level. During the commissioning and reception of new members, Senator Hunkuyi commended the collaborative efforts of stakeholders and emphasized that grassroots mobilization plays a crucial role in fostering effective governance.
He remarked that the initiative goes beyond opening offices—it serves to deepen democracy and amplify the voices of citizens at the community level. By establishing these ward offices, the APC aims to bridge the gap between representatives and the electorate, ensuring direct engagement in policy discussions and governance.
Senator Hunkuyi acknowledged that this move aligns with the broader vision of Governor Uba Sani, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose leadership continues to empower grassroots structures and promote inclusive development.
He further noted that the newly opened offices are designed to keep the party actively engaged in communities beyond election periods. These offices will serve as points for constituents to voice concerns, receive support, and participate in shaping local and national policies.
The event also witnessed the defection of several notable figures from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, including the Kudan Local Government Youth Leader and the PDP’s Public Relations Officer, who pledged their allegiance to APC.
