Zamfara APC Group Pledges Support for Tinubu's Re-Election

The Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front, a political organization within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The endorsement was declared during a stakeholders' meeting held at the Taula Conference Hall in Gusau.

The leader of the Front, APC stalwart Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, addressed the gathering, outlining the reasons for their support. He credited President Tinubu's "tremendous achievements" and the implementation of "good policies" directed at national development as the primary motivation.

Shinkafi particularly highlighted the administration's focus on security, asserting that the President "is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that insecurity in the country, particularly in Zamfara, would be a thing of the past."

He further pointed to several projects being executed across the northern region, including Zamfara, as evidence of the President's focused "determination to fix Nigeria."

Following these remarks, a formal motion to endorse President Tinubu was moved by a member, Yushau Mada, and subsequently seconded by another stakeholder, Asmau Gusau.

In a move that has set the stage for the upcoming political cycle, Shinkafi used the platform of the meeting to publicly declare his intention to contest the Zamfara State governorship seat in 2027 on the APC ticket.

The event concluded with several other stakeholders taking turns to speak, expressing their collective support for both President Tinubu's re-election bid and Shinkafi's gubernatorial ambition.

The dual declarations signal an early mobilization of support structures within the party in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
