FROM ALIYU IBRAHIM, KADUNA
An aspirant for the Unguwar Sanusi Constituency seat in the Kaduna State House of Assembly under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Adamu, popularly known as Jagaban Matasa, has urged eligible voters in the constituency to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of next year’s general elections.
Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Adamu made the call while speaking with newsmen shortly after submitting his nomination form at the party secretariat in Kaduna as part of the requirements to participate in the party’s primary election.
He stressed that active participation in the electoral process remains crucial to achieving credible election outcomes, urging voters to come out en masse to register, obtain their PVCs and vote for candidates of their choice.
The aspirant also called on voters to take legitimate steps to ensure that their votes count during the elections.
According to him, his decision to contest for the seat was inspired by calls and encouragement from constituents who believe he possesses the capacity to represent them effectively at the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Adamu assured residents of Unguwar Sanusi Constituency that he would prioritise projects and interventions aimed at improving the welfare of the people and accelerating development across the area if elected.
He further pledged not to disappoint the electorate, promising to provide quality representation and responsive leadership that would address the needs of the constituency.
