Hon. (Dr.) Dayyabu Yusuf Garga has congratulated Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on his victory in the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This is contained in a statement signed by Taru Salim Dugub, Senior Special Assistant to Dayyabu Garga on Media and Publicity, on May 23, 2026.
Garga, the APC candidate for Kantana State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, said Mutfwang’s win reflected widespread confidence in his leadership. The governor polled 233,435 votes across the state’s 17 local government areas to secure the APC ticket.
He described the outcome as a victory for all Plateau people and said the margin of votes showed the level of trust and satisfaction with Mutfwang’s administration.
According to Garga, the result signals strong support for the APC ahead of the 2027 polls. He pledged to campaign across the state for Mutfwang’s re-election and for the party’s success, stating that a victory would be a collective gain for Plateau citizens.
Garga also commended electoral officers for conducting what he called a peaceful, transparent, and credible primary.
He thanked APC National Chairman Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda for his role in ensuring the exercise ran smoothly nationwide, and appreciated party stakeholders and supporters in Plateau for their efforts toward strengthening party unity and growth.
