The Kaduna State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated the newly elected National Executive Committee led by Comrade Isaiah Kemje Benjamin (JP), who secured a second term as SWAN President at the Association's Triennial Delegates Conference held in Kaduna on Friday, August 28, 2026.
In a press statement, signed by Chapter Chairman Shehu Abdullahi and Secretary Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, the Chapter also congratulated every other member of the National Executive Committee elected at the conference, describing the smooth conduct of the elections in Kaduna as proof of the "unity, maturity and commitment" of sports journalists nationwide to strengthening SWAN's impact.
The Chapter expressed confidence that under Benjamin's leadership, SWAN would reach new heights in welfare, professionalism and advocacy for sports development in Nigeria, describing him as a "thoroughbred professional and patriotic sports writer."
Kaduna SWAN pledged its full support and cooperation to the new national leadership, saying it was confident Benjamin's experience would help unite members, strengthen the Association's voice, and deepen collaboration with stakeholders across the sports industry.
