As the date set aside for the 2023 Sports Legendary Award draws nearer, arrangements have been put in place to reward sports heroes and role models for the year.
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani is expected to play hosts to his counterparts from Zamfara, and Nasarawa states when the season 3, Sports Legendary Award recognizes and rewards excellence.
In a press briefing to update the preparations by the President Solomon Omonokhua said to ensure that the award remains the best, the quality of the awardees was a mixture of legendary administrators and active sportsmen and women in Nigeria.
“You know, our Governor Senator Uba Sani is a sport-loving leader and this organization has tracked several sports infrastructural projects that he provided for the state which were sited in various communities of Kaduna State, as the neighborhood sports centers, so you can see our Governor Uba Sani is one of the highest sports family members”.Solomon maintained that it is expected that the governors of Kebbi, Zamfara, Borno, and Kaduna as well as the governor of Nasarawa State nominated would be decorated by the Nigeria Vice President, Kashim Shettima.

As a result of recognizing the extraordinary commitment of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani to sports development in the State who had indeed remained pivotal, the Sports Legendary Award authority nominated him for the conferment of “Most Outstanding Sports Enthusiastic Governor in Northern Nigeria & Icon of Youth Empowerment & Humanitarian Services for the Year 2023.
“The Sports Legendary Awards team no doubt did an exceptional job of identifying and rewarding excellence by bestowing a prestigious honor to His Excellency”.
Other recipients include, the Speaker of the House Of Representatives, Abbas Tajuddeen, NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF Secretary General, Dr. Sanusi Muhammed, and NFF Ahmed Yusuf Fresh are expected to be decorated among the 2023 awardees.
Also, to be honored with an award that day include, Members of the House of Representatives, Ekene Adams and Bello El-Rufai, Engr Musa Nimrod as well as the Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government Council, Mukhtar Baloni, Dr. Are Ademola, and the new NPFL Chairman, Hon Elegbeleye Gbenga, Aisha Falode among others.
