In celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government Affairs in Kaduna State, Hon Sadiq Mamman Lagos, has extended warm felicitations to His Excellency Mall Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
Eid-el-Fitr marks the culmination of Ramadan fasting, one of the pillars of Islam, focused on supplications, support, and feeding the less privileged, without discrimination, as exemplified by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Commissioner Sadiq Mamman Lagos also seized the opportunity to express gratitude to over 5000 women who gathered at Murtala Square Kaduna on April 6th, 2024, to receive palliatives distributed by Senator Uba Sani Support Group.
A statement released by the Commissioner Media Team said Mamman Lagos prayed for Almighty Allah's continuous blessings and mercies upon them.
In the statement, the Commissioner also emphasized the importance of fostering peacebuilding efforts, irrespective of ethno-religious differences, stating that no society can thrive amidst discord.
He urged citizens to support Governor Uba Sani's administration with prayers, emphasizing that Kaduna State's success hinges on unity and cooperation.
As the Eid celebrations continued, Commissioner Sadiq Mamman Lagos concluded with the traditional Eid greeting of "Barka da Sallah," wishing everyone joy and blessings during this festive period.
