"Kaduna Sallah Slam Ignites Volleyball Passion: Annual Championship Secures Its Spot"

In a remarkable display of commitment to sports development, Engr. Musa Nimrod, the Chairman of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association and President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, has declared the Kaduna Sallah Slam Beach Volleyball Championship a permanent fixture in the state's sporting calendar. 

Following the successful conclusion of the championship's second edition at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium's Beach Arena, Engr. Nimrod addressed the athletes with a message of continuity and growth.

"The Sallah Slam championship is now a cornerstone event for us and will be nurtured as an annual occurrence," stated Engr. Nimrod. 

He expressed his enthusiasm for the burgeoning talent pool drawn to the championship, emphasizing its role as a strategic platform for talent discovery.

In a cautionary note to seasoned players, Engr. Nimrod highlighted the emergence of fresh talent, urging established stars to recognize the competitive nature of the sport. 

"The presence of a ten-year-old participant in this year's event is a testament to the untapped potential out there. We are committed to supporting such young talents with the necessary resources to hone their skills," he added, promising to provide volleyball kits to the young player.

The tournament concluded with Destiny Hands Volleyball clinching victory in both the boys' and girls' divisions, triumphing over Succeeders BV and Filkom BV, respectively. Diamond Beach Volleyball and Young Eagles of Television Kaduna secured the second runner-up positions in their respective categories.


In the junior division, the Young Eagles soared high as the male victors, while Flourish Beach Volleyball claimed the top spot in the female category. The winners were rewarded with cash prizes sponsored by Engr. Musa Nimrod, with the champions receiving ₦80,000 the first runners-up ₦60,000 and the second runners-up ₦50,000.

This event not only celebrates the spirit of competition but also reinforces the importance of sports in fostering community and youth development. The Kaduna Sallah Slam Beach Volleyball Championship is set to become a beacon of hope and opportunity for aspiring athletes across the region.
