In a stunning display, the Kada Kings and Kada Emeralds have claimed victory in the 2024 President Beach Volleyball Cup. The Kings overcame a challenging start to defeat the Kada Stars with a score of 2-1 (21-23, 21-19, 15-8) in the men's final.

Meanwhile, the Emeralds showcased their dominance by besting the Adamawa Spikers 2-0 (21-12, 21-11) to clinch the women's title.

The event, held in Kaduna, was not just a competition but also a celebration of emerging talent.

Engineer Musa Nimrod, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, expressed his satisfaction with the tournament, noting that it met the high expectations of the beach volleyball community.

He emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent, stating that the Federation's beach commission is committed to organizing regular tournaments to provide these athletes with the attention they deserve.

"The President Beach Volleyball Cup serves as the inaugural event in our Federation's calendar, and the level of play we've witnessed, especially from newcomers, has been truly impressive," said Nimrod.

He highlighted the U19 and Senior categories as critical platforms for exposing young players to the sport.

Nimrod also issued a call to action for coaches nationwide, urging them to continue their efforts in scouting and developing young players.

"Our coaches are the backbone of the Federation, and I urge them not to ease up on their quest to uncover new talent. Nigeria is a treasure trove of untapped potential, and our coaches are the craftsmen who can shape these raw talents into polished athletes," he added.

The victories by the Kada Kings and Kada Emeralds not only mark their excellence in the sport but also signal the bright future of beach volleyball in Nigeria, thanks to the dedication of players, coaches, and the Federation alike.
