Kaduna Govt Rolls Out Major Healthcare Boost with Equipment Distribution and HQ Launch

KADUNA, Nigeria — Gov. Uba Sani is set to distribute a massive cache of medical equipment to primary health care facilities across the state today, marking a critical step in his administration’s mission to provide world-class medical services at the grassroots.

In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Prof. Bello Yusuf Jamoh, the governor will also commission the board’s newly constructed headquarters at 64 Tafawa Balewa Way. The ceremony, scheduled for 1:00 p.m., represents a major institutional milestone for the state’s healthcare planning and oversight.

The distribution is part of a sustained effort to revitalize 290 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), ensuring they are equipped with essential tools to enhance diagnosis and patient care. This initiative specifically targets the most vulnerable populations, including women and children, as the administration continues to build a resilient and equitable health system.

"The complex will serve as a central coordination hub for planning, monitoring, and implementation of Primary Health Care policies," Jamoh stated. He added that the new headquarters will significantly improve administrative efficiency and strategic oversight across the state's 23 local government areas.

The governor is also expected to reaffirm his commitment to the "SUSTAIN" Manifesto, which has already led to historic results.
