As the date for the launching of the book written by Professor Ishaq Akintola of MURIC draws closer (Sunday, 9th July, 2023), the Planning Committee has revealed that it is yet to get a Chief Launcher for the day.
The committee has therefore appealed to Nigerian Muslims to come to its aid by finding a Chief Launcher for Akintola's book.
The book whose title is *'My Jihad: the Autobiography of an Islamic Eschatologist Cum Human Rights Activist'*, is billed for launching at Combo Hall, LTV 8, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday, 9th July, 2023.
According to the chairman of the Planning Committee of the programme, Dr. Busari Jamiu Muhammad who also doubles as the chairman of MURIC in Lagos State, all efforts of the committee to get a Chief Launcher for the day has proved abortive. Speaking to newsmen in Lagos, Dr. Busari said, "You all know Professor Ishaq Akintola is not close to any Muslim billionaire. He dedicated his whole life to dawah and the protection of Allah-given fundamental human rights of Nigerian Muslims.
"Millions of naira has gone into the production of this book. It is 429 pages, quite voluminous. It will be a colossal financial setback if no chief launcher can be found before the launching.
