"Northern Caucus Unites Against Tragedy: Lawmakers Condemn Barbaric Killings in Plateau State, Vow Vigorous Action for Lasting Peace"

Members of the Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives stood in solidarity during their visit to Governor Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, addressing the unfortunate surge in killings. Led by Caucus Chairman Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, their mission was to convey condolences and support to both the Governor and the affected citizens.

In a statement by Caucus Secretary Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, the group unequivocally denounced the recent Plateau State killings, branding them as "barbaric, senseless, and vicious." They stressed the incongruity of such violence with the values of a harmonious society.

Affirming their commitment to actively contribute to peace promotion, Hon. Gagdi asserted, "In our capacity as lawmakers, we will play our parts with vigor to support institutions and individuals in their roles to ensure lasting peace in our region." The statement underscored the Caucus's determination to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to prevent the recurrence of such tragic incidents.

Hon. Gagdi went on to declare that the Northern Caucus would not tolerate the repetition of such atrocities in their locality. He urged everyone to collectively commit to safeguarding the sanctity of human lives, emphasizing the shared responsibility in preserving community well-being.
