The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Tax Office three in Kaduna, under the leadership of Tax Controller Alh. Shehu Darasu Gamawa, has expressed high praise for the level of tax compliance shown by taxpayers across various categories in Kaduna State.
Alh. Shehu Gamawa made the remarks while speaking to newsmen in Kaduna during this year's global customers of tax payments transactions week commemoration. He stated that the FIRS Kaduna State Office was "highly impressed" with the compliance levels, which have significantly contributed to the office surpassing its targeted revenue collections for this year.
The achievement, according to Gamawa, is likely a result of the effective cooperation and "business friendly relationship" that has developed between the agency’s customers and its staff.
In recognition of the positive response and commitment from the public, Alh. Shehu Gamawa revealed that the agency has rewarded its top ten customers with various categories of rewards. This initiative aims to "further encourage them more to sustain the tempo of their laudable commitments in tax payments across the state".
Looking ahead, the FIRS Tax Agency in Kaduna is prioritizing enhanced customer satisfaction and effective service delivery. Alh. Shehu Gamawa confirmed that the FIRS would continue to introduce new initiatives aimed at addressing identified loopholes in its services to further ease tax payment transactions in the state.
