The National Association of Government Secondary School (GSS) Kachia Old Boys, Class of 1982, has commended the Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, for what it described as his outstanding performance and transformational leadership within three years in office.

The commendation was made by the National Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Aliyu Aminu Sarkin Kwarin Dangoma, during an interview with journalists in Kaduna.

According to him, the discipline, hard work, fairness, and sense of justice inculcated at Government Secondary School, Kachia, are reflected in Governor Lawal's style of leadership and the achievements recorded despite the challenges encountered in governance.

Sarkin Kwarin Dangoma noted that Governor Lawal successfully completed the state's cargo airport project, which has already become operational and was utilized during this year's Hajj exercise. He also stated that the governor had settled billions of naira in debts owed to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other financial institutions, inherited from previous administrations.

He further explained that the governor resolved long-standing pension and gratuity disputes involving retired civil servants and also approved salary improvements for workers in the state.

According to him, the administration has undertaken the construction of several roads across the state and modernized general hospitals in all the 14 local government areas.

He also highlighted the construction of the Tsafe and Anka Emirate palaces, as well as the establishment of the state-backed community security outfit, Askarawa, to complement conventional security agencies in maintaining peace and order across the state.

The forum chairman further praised Governor Lawal for strengthening the state's revenue generation system through the establishment and enhancement of the Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service.

"His achievements have positively impacted every sector of the state's economy and social life, particularly in education, healthcare, humanitarian services, infrastructure, and socio-economic development," he said.

Sarkin Kwarin Dangoma congratulated the governor on his achievements over the past three years and urged him to intensify efforts to address insecurity in Zamfara and neighbouring states through stronger collaboration with the Federal Government and other relevant stakeholders.

He also called on the people of Zamfara State to continue supporting and cooperating with the administration's "Rescue Mission" agenda to ensure sustainable development and prosperity for the state and the nation at large.
