The wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajuddeen, has officially launched a campaign to mobilize 100,000 women voters for the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections under its Tinubu/UBA/Abbas Support Groups (TUA)
Hajiya Fatima said the campaign is focused on canvassing for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and Speaker Tajuddeen Abbas for a second term in the 2027 elections.
The event, which took place in Zaria, drew a large turnout of prominent APC women supporters from across all the wards in the Kaduna North Senatorial Zone.
According to Hajiya Fatima, the launch is part of a broader plan to ensure that APC secures 100,000 women votes in the Zaria Federal Constituency in the next election.
She described women as a critical voting bloc whose support will be key to the party’s victory in 2027.
Under the program, women will be identified and mobilized from every ward within Zaria Local Government Area and its environs. The initiative will also provide them with empowerment support and welfare packages aimed at improving their livelihoods and strengthening their commitment to the party.
During the event in Zaria, several women leaders pledged their support for the initiative and commended Hajiya Fatima for her leadership and dedication to grassroots mobilization.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamilu Ahmad Mohammed, commended the Speaker’s wife for the bold initiative.
He described her as a woman passionate about the development of women and the country at large.
According to him, the campaign to canvass votes for Tinubu/UBA/Abbas, launched by Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajuddeen, and the drive to secure 100,000 women votes will contribute significantly to victory in the next election.
As part of the event, empowerment support was also distributed to women leaders across all the wards in the area to encourage them to continue supporting President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and Speaker Abbas Tajuddeen in the next election, in order to sustain the dividends of democracy.
The event was also attended by all members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Zaria, as well as aides to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, other APC candidates, and various support groups.
