Gombe, May 9, 2024 - Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commissioned a new fertilizer plant, Al-Yuma Fertilizer and Chemical Company, in Kwadon, Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area, as part of his administration's efforts to unlock Gombe State's agricultural potential.

He announced the purchase of 200,000 tons of fertilizer from the new company for distribution to Gombe farmers.

The Chairman of Al-Yuma Fertilizer and Chemical Company, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Yusuf, praised Governor Inuwa's passion for agriculture and effective policies, which inspired the company to establish the plant in Gombe State. The company has the capacity to produce 120,000 tons of different fertilizer blends per annum.

The Emir of Yamaltu, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu, thanked Governor Inuwa for creating a peaceful and enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
