The six governors of the Northeast states, under the auspices of the Northeast Governors' Forum (NEGF), gathered in Bauchi State capital on Friday for their 10th meeting to discuss issues of common interest affecting the subregion.

The forum, chaired by Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, also includes governors from Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe.

They will hold a closed-door session after the opening ceremony to deliberate and find solutions to the identified issues, aimed at promoting the overall development of the subregion.

The governors are also scheduled to accompany Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima to various activities, including the formal inauguration of the 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Square in Bauchi, the commissioning of the newly constructed Bauchi State Government House, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the first two flyovers in the Bauchi capital city.
