The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has flagged off the distribution of fertilizer to members of the Tinubu Support Groups in Kaduna State as part of efforts to support farmers, improve agricultural productivity, and contribute to the Federal Government's drive for food security.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Dr. Dan’agundi thanked members of the Tinubu Support Groups for their loyalty and commitment. He also commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his continued support and commitment to the welfare of members of the groups across the state.
The Director-General equally acknowledged the contribution of Engr. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, popularly known as Abban Bichi, whose support, he said, made the fertilizer intervention possible. He described the initiative as a reflection of a shared commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers and strengthening agricultural production.
In his remarks, the Kaduna State Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Groups, Hon. Musa Bawa, popularly known as Ciki da Waje, disclosed that this was the third time Dr. Dan’agundi had facilitated the distribution of fertilizer to members of the groups in Kaduna State. He praised the Director-General for his consistent commitment to grassroots empowerment and prayed for Allah's continued guidance and success in his service to the nation.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely, especially as farmers prepare for the planting season. They said the support would help improve their farming activities and pledged their continued support for initiatives that promote agriculture, community development, and economic growth in Kaduna State.
