The Kaduna State Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Usman Shehu Bawa, ABG, has called on the party’s candidates and aspirants to unite and work together towards achieving collective success in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement by his spokesman, Yusuf Idris, Shehu ABG made the call on Saturday during a meeting with PDP candidates for the National Assembly and Kaduna State House of Assembly elections, as well as aspirants who participated in the party’s recent primary elections.
The meeting, held at his campaign office in Kaduna, focused on strengthening unity, cooperation and coordination among party members ahead of the elections.
Shehu ABG urged those who secured the party’s tickets and those who were unsuccessful in the primaries to put their differences aside and support one another.
He said the party’s success would depend on the ability of its candidates and members to work together towards a common objective.
The PDP governorship candidate said, “As we prepare for the general elections, it is important that we set aside our differences and work together for the success of our party. Our collective success hinges on our ability to unite as candidates and as a party towards achieving a common cause.”
He added that the party has a vision for Kaduna State and a responsibility to its members and constituents, urging candidates to support one another and present a united front to the electorate.
Shehu ABG also condemned reported attacks on opposition political parties, describing such actions as primitive and inconsistent with the democratic development of the country.
Participants at the meeting pledged to collaborate and strengthen solidarity among party members as part of efforts to enhance the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
