APC North West Inaugural Summit: "Uniting for Progress and Prosperity" - Frontline News

The All Progressives Congress (APC) North West stakeholders held their inaugural meeting at the Yar'Adua Hall, Murtala Square, Kaduna, on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The meeting, chaired by Senator Uba Sani, the Coordinating Governor of the North West Zone, brought together party leaders and stakeholders from the seven states of the North West zone.

Governor Uba Sani who read out the Communique commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises and his decisive steps in tackling Nigeria's security and developmental challenges. The meeting noted the positive impact of President Tinubu's development agenda on the North West zone, particularly in human capital development, agriculture, education, poverty alleviation, and infrastructural development.

The stakeholders also commended the security agencies for their efforts in maintaining security in the zone and called for continued support for President Tinubu's administration as he strives to address the country's challenges. The meeting urged members of the National Assembly to expedite the passage of the North West Development Commission Bill, which aims to promote national cohesion and even development.

The meeting session praised President Tinubu for his commitment to completing key projects in the North West zone, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Highway, the Sokoto-Badagry Road Project, and the Lagos-Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi Rail Project. These projects are expected to boost economic activities, mitigate poverty, enhance security, and foster understanding and friendship among Nigerians.

The stakeholders acknowledged the efforts of political leaders from the zone in promoting development and called on them to do more to enhance the political fortunes of the zone. The meeting commended the National Leadership of the APC for their commitment to democracy and recognized the efforts of ministers, special advisers, and presidential aides from the zone in supporting President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

The meeting commended the Coordinating Governor of the North West, Senator Uba Sani, for hosting the inaugural stakeholders meeting and demonstrating commitment to the unity and progress of the APC in the North West Zone and also commended Governors Dikko Radda (Katsina State), Umar Namadi (Jigawa State), Nasiru Idris (Kebbi State), and Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto State) for their credible leadership in their respective states.
